Our planning ambition is to welcome more than 100,000 sports tourists across events in a Sports City. A working assumption of R4,000–R8,000 average visitor spend illustrates the potential demand for accommodation, food, retail, transport and experiences.
These figures are planning assumptions, not guaranteed visitor numbers, revenue or returns. Each city and event requires its own feasibility work.
